In 2017, our product team went through a major “Agile Transformation.” All employees adopted this new way of working to establish better collaboration within and across teams. We’ve restructured our teams to be smaller and more cross-functional. We’ve hired Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters to keep our teams on track.
Quarterly, we fly all team member to our Big Room Planning event where they review the work they expect to accomplish for the next 12 weeks, communicate across team regarding dependencies, and ultimately establish the best plan possible for the next increment of customer commitments. This shift in working behavior was a big overhaul that has changed the scope of our organization, how our teams function, and how we’re able to support our customers.
