Chief Revenue Officer
Thomas Hansen is the chief revenue officer and EVP of Carbon Black.
Thomas was the global vice president of revenue at Dropbox from 2015-2017. He led teams that enabled the company’s hyper growth through a multi-channel GTM strategy to scale to more than $1B in annualized revenue, the fastest SaaS company of all time to reach that mark.
At Microsoft, from 2001 until 2015, Thomas was the worldwide vice president of the SMB organization. He was responsible for a global team of sales, marketing, and partner management professionals and led a multi-billion dollar hyper-growth business. The team recruited and built the world’s largest cloud ecosystem of partners.
Thomas started his career managing a small windsurfing company in Denmark and later went on to work for leading IT organizations, including Naspers, Dell and Olivetti, in various leadership roles. He has also served on the global board of Enablis, a non-profit organization that empowers entrepreneurs in developing countries by providing networking, coaching, mentoring and financing.
Born, raised and educated in Denmark, Thomas has also lived in South Africa, Thailand, and Turkey. He holds both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in economics & business administration from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. He is married with three children and lives in Seattle, Washington.

He has a passion for mentorship and is a frequent speaker at industry events on topics such as technology innovation, strategy, cloud, and multi-channel sales.
