Tom Barsi drives the company’s business development efforts, forging partnerships with MSSPs, IR firms, and security technology leaders. Prior to joining Carbon Black, Barsi was executive vice president of business development for Proofpoint, a security-as-a-service (SaaS) company that had a successful IPO in 2012. Before Proofpoint, he was vice president of business development for VeriSign’s authentication business unit, which was sold to Symantec for $1.3B. Barsi also was the founding CEO of Consentry Networks, and co-founder and vice president of business development for VINA technologies, where he played a key role in the company’s IPO. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from CSUC.
