2015: The Most Prolific Year for OS X Malware

A report from the Carbon Black Threat Research Team finds an alarming increase in OS X malware in 2015.

To better understand this phenomenon, the team conducted a 10-week analysis of OS X malware samples to identify the tactics, targets and patterns of persistence malware authors are using to crack OS X machines.

As big-picture trends from the analysis emerged, one data point struck the team as particularly noteworthy: 2015 has been the most prolific year in history for OS X malware.
